Three Keys To Happy and Fulfilling Life

three keys to happy life

Everybody wants a happy life, but not everybody knows how they can be really happy and live a fulfilling life.

Some try to chase money and fame because they think these things will make me happy, a hungry will chase food because for him that's happiness.

By observing clearly, we can find that people chase their unfulfilled desires with the same intentions they chased their fulfilled ones. But in the end, they find themselves miserable.

One must understand that outer peace and happiness never guarantee inner happiness as they both are found when one makes an inner journey.

You can be a millionaire but miserable, filled with ego, arrogance, selfishness or a millionaire who is actually happy as he does not possess such qualities. Or you can be a middle-class man who is satisfied just because he knows what happiness is.

    So if you want to:

    • Be happy
    • Find the real meaning of happiness
    • want the three secret keys to fulfilling life
Then you are at the right place. So without any further ado, let's get started.

    1. Remember To Satisfy Others Hunger

Now, what do I mean by hunger

Every human being has a hunger, the same as you. Hunger of wealth, food, shelter, relationships, emotional and psychological and many more.

If you are ignoring others' hunger and always concerned about yours, then you are deemed to be unhappy, but how?

The difference between animals and humans is that animals only things about their hunger and, at best, the hunger of his offsprings or pack. On the other hand, humans can sense other people’s hunger and fear and create resources to provide for and protect others.

This sense of satisfying other's hunger what makes humans special.

There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved - George Sand

This is why when humans stop sharing, we call that animal behaviour. By why does this happen?

The reason one becomes selfish and does not concern about "sharing" with others is due to fear. Fear of losing, and all sorts of fear. One must understand that you born with nothing in this world, and whatever you take from this world is not yours.

You get it from somewhere; this means that it becomes your duty to satisfy others' hunger too.

Do not become selfish, do not just be concern about yourself. Share with others, give them support because in every being resides the same soul which resides in you and me; and then you'll be happy, satisfied.

Remember that happiness is more about the intent, you will be happy if you are concerned about other's material, emotional or intellectual desires because even though culture and traditions make us different, but we all are one family. - Mukund kapoor

    2. Do not Judge and You'll Be Happy

For most of our life, we compare and judge. We see our parents judging and comparing, we see the whole world finding faults in each other, trapped in the marathon of becoming better.

But we forget that in that marathon of becoming excellent, we become miserable, we lose sight; we ignore everything because we want to become better and compare.

We always measure things, and that's why scientists created units of measurement so that everything makes sense in this universe.

But with measurement comes comparison, and with comparison comes judgement. When we see things as they are without comparing and judging, that's when we truly see.

The key to happiness is not judging and falling to conclusions but accepting everything around us as they are, since the world is filled with flaws and nothing is perfect. So if you think judging others and your own self will make a difference or will change your life, then you will be disappointed.

We compare our children with others, compare our husbands/wives with others, compare each and everything, and for what? To find mistakes? Faults? and then we complain about why we are unhappy, why our lives are miserable and meaningless.

True happiness lies not in judgement but in appreciating and accepting things. - Mukund Kapoor
If you find someone doing the wrong thing or if someone lacks something, then it's better to show empathy, to correct him not in a judgmental way but in a way he can understand and become a better version of him/herself.

    3. Do Not Overthink About The Results By Taking Informed Decisions

Overthinking about what is going to happen or what will be the result of my action is like an inborn duty of every human, which brings fear, tension and unhappiness disguised.

For instance, say if a farmer sows a seed, the result of his sowing depends upon many factors like sunlight and quality of soil and availability of water, the result of every action is unpredictable.

You can never predict the results of your actions, and so there is no point in overthinking and taking tension for what will happen.

If you cannot do this, you can diverge your mind to the positives because it is better to avoid finding negatives. Focus on what can go right, and you'll find yourself optimistic, and with optimism comes happiness.

The reason why people overthink is also fear. Fear of unwanted results, fear of losing, but you just remember that if everyone excuses their idleness and not performing their duties or actions with fear then the world would have billions of idle people starving.

But what inform decisions mean and how it will be your key to a happy life?

For most of our life, we tend to take decisions solely through our emotions. Popularly we term this as "Do what your heart says." This is not a bad approach, but it should not be the only way of making decisions.

The best way is to take decisions both from heart ad mind, which means one should take the help of his emotions and also from the mind by being aware of the best that should be done.

People forget that every action of theirs will bear the fruit of unpredictable reactions that can benefit and hurt other people at the same time.

There is a story about Karna in Mahabharata which will make you understand this.

A little girl was drinking milk from a pot, Karna's chariot rolled past, and she dropped the pot with astonishment. The pot broke, and the earth soaked the milk. The girl then began to cry, and Karna seeing this took the moist earth in is hand and squeezed out the milk in the pot. The girl was delighted and praised the warrior. This was an expected result according to all of us. But the outcome was unpredictable. The earth got furious that Karna squeezed milk out of her and swore that she would take revenge one day.

The revenge was taken on the battlefield of Kurukshetra when she grabbed hold of Karna's chariot wheel and forced him to pull the wheel. While he was distracted pulling out the wheel he was shot dead, his blood fell on the ground and earth soaked it all.

So what this story tells you? Karna's action had two reactions, a good one and a bad one. This never means you should stop taking action. What this tells us is  one should always take decisions not just with their feelings but also their intellect to get a happy & fulfilled life.

Remember, every opportunity is a new beginning, and start again with trust in God.

    Conclusion

The three keys to a happy life are sharing, not comparing and not getting bothered by the future. The one who remembers this finds himself happier, content and kind.

Happiness is all about choices the choices you make define your future. A sad person cannot find happiness if he thinks that he cannot be happy and a happy on the other hand, cannot become sad if he thinks he cannot be sad.

Happiness is about sharing and forgiving, building relationships and much more. These three keys are not everything you need to live a good life; you must figure few things out by yourself.
